Learn how to back up your phone data (contacts, messages, and etc) so even if you hard reset your phone, you can still restore them. Option 1: From the phone settings.

Go to Settings, then Privacy
Tap Factory data reset
Tap Reset phone
Enter your password if required, then tap Erase everything to confirm

Option 2: If phone is locked. Manual Way

Device must be powered off
While holding the Volume down key and briefly press the Power key.
When the touch keys light up, press and hold Home key.
Continue holding down Volume down and Home keys until Android unpacking logo appears
The phone will wipe the user data and reset.
