Hdd Problem
Hi I have a 37 inch LG LCD with built in DVR functions. Recently, the TV gives a "HDD initialization in progress" message when I try to access the recorded programs menu. Also, live pause and rewind are not functioning (since the HDD is not recording). I cannot format using the TV menu. Any ideas?

To format the internal disk:
- Press the MENU button and then use D / E button to select the TIME MACHINE menu.
- Press the G button and then use D / E button to select HDD Format.
- Press the G button to start HDD Format.
If the reformat doesn't fix this it suggests that the hard disk may be defective. I see no listing of what hard drive is used other than it is a SATA disk drive.
The service manual available here: http://www.electronica-pt.com/index.php/component/option,com_remository/Itemid,34/func,startdown/id,6116/ shows where the hard disk is located and it's buried inside the TV. You'll be best served to take it to a good repair shop if the disk really needs replacement.
I've been able to find no other support info or troubleshooting beyond what is listed in the service manula dn it's pretty brief for the DVR section.
