Drain Hose

The white drain hose is wrapped around the left side of the dishwasher , my drain is on the right side. Do I just add the Black hose to the bottom of the dishwasher and hook it up or do I disconnect the left side and bring it to the bottom of the dishwasher.

I had the same question.  I found the following instruction online from a Whirlpool guide, but it is the same design as the KitchenAid for the looped drain hose on the Left side.

"Do not remove the drain hose from the left sie of the tub.  This loop in the drain hose provides proper back pressure for the soil sensor.  If the loop is removed, the dishwasher will not initiate Automatic Purge Filtration."

I hope this helps.
