Blades Locked Into The Base Of The Jar

Hi! I have a kitchenaid KSB565SMO model jar.  I disassembled the jar to wash it and when I tried to assmeble it again, the blades have locked into the base of the jar and the rotor does not reach the far enough to fit into the base unit.  I have tried to get the blades out, but it seems to have locked into place.  How do I get it out??!!  HELP! Thanks! Van
