I Have A Rca Dvd Player, Mdl #drc290. The Disc Is Stuck In The #. Disc Receiver

The #1 light blinks constantly in the window and and I can't retrieve my disc.  The player will not turn on or off either with the remote or manually.  The player has been playing fine till now.  It is approximately 2 years old.
