Overheating Issues

3 yr old 536LiLX trimmer won't run for more than approx 1/2 a battery charge without shutting down. Very frustrating when needing get work done. Batteries are fine. Motor gets hot. how to deal with this handicap??

As this is a battery device the likely problem for the overheating is because there is excessive load on the motor. With a fully charged battery check that without any cutting items attached and see if the unit runs at the correct speed without a load. Verify that the drive at the cutting head is not blocked with grass around the shaft as this will restrict the drive. The worst case is the motor is failing but that would need an engineer to investigate. This is a link to the guide.
