Replace Hdd With Ssd
I have the HP all in one 310-1124f. It has a WD 1T hard drive that has ended its life. I would like to replace it with a 1T ssd. Any recommendations? Also how do I get the old drive out. Removed the back but it looks like I have to remove everything. Also will I be able to put a 2.5 ssd in the original bracket or should I get a screw less case for the new drive

This is a link to HP for your device. Unfortunately they do not offer a maintenance guide.
To replace the old drive with an SSD is fairly simple. All you need to check is that you have a correct cage to accept the new drive if the old drive is 3.5 " . If you fit a 2.5" drive it will just need your O/S to be re-installed and you will see a speed advantage straight away. I did in my old laptop.
Choose a reliable make and you should be OK. I cannot advise as they all seem to be made in China.
