Power Supply?

our power was shut of for a hour or two when it came back on our hp s3300f would not turn on. There is a little green light on in three back. I have tried flipping that red power switch in the back with no change. Nothing turns on not even the fan. Is there anything I can do at home to fix this? If it is the power supply can I take a working PS from an old computer and put it in?

The green light should indicate that the power supply is on so you may have a different startup problem. Power outages and low voltage brown outs do as much damage as power surges.  You can use a multi meter to check the output on each plug. If you have known "good" psu you can swap it out as long as its output is rated at or more of what you are replacing but im not sure it actually is a psu problem.

Read this article,  it is a great troubleshooting guide and it may help with further diagnostics. Good luck. https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/details/hp-pavilion-slimline-s3300-desktop-pc-series/3644713?sp4ts.oid=3644713&docId=emr_na-bph06788&lang=en&cc=us
