Toner Adhesion

When I print on a laser compatible 25% cotton content stationary and envelope (Southworth brand from Staples) there is poor toner adhesion, especially on the envelopes, and I can rub the printed matter off the paper with my finger.

Try to adjust the heat by choosing another media setting for the tray you are printing from. I would use the envelope setting to see if turning the heat up will give better toner adhesion. Is the paper even rated for use in laser printers? Try another brand of paper.

The paper setting to adjust the driver settings on hard. The paper transport is then slowly and the toner is better fixation = Branded

Problem Caused

The paper is too moist, too rough, too heavy or too smooth, or it is embossed or from a faulty paper lot.

Solution

Try another kind of paper, between 100 and 250 Sheffield, with 4 to 6% moisture content.
