Do You Have To Change All Ink Cartridges At The Same Time?
New 6600 -- it now says replace ink cartridge? Which one or do all have to be replaced evey time? How do you tell which one is out?

Hello vickielytton,
You only need to change the cartridge that has run out of ink. The cartridges are semi opaque and you should be able to see which cartridge appears to be running low, or is out of ink altogether.
Once determined which cartridge needs to be replaced, you can go to the following HP link to view how to replace the ink cartridge. There is also written steps as wiell.

This printer has a printhead mechanism that contains 4 individual cartridges: CMYK (cyan/magenta/yellow/black).
You will have to replace the cartridge, if the unit provides a message of one of the colors being empty, before the unit will resume printing. It is a maintenance mechanism to prevent the product from self-damage.
