Hp Laserjet M1522nf Searching Preconfigured Driver Folders

Everytime I turn on my PC and printer, the printer is not visible to my PC. I turn the printer off then back on and my PC re-installs my printer drivers. Exact message: Installing device driver software. Searching preconfigured driver folders. Once that is complete I can print again. I've uninstalled and re-installed the printer software and also ran a firmware update. Not sure why this continues. I'm running Windows Vista 32 bit (yeah I know, you ask why...) Thanks
