Orange Flashing Light, Resume Light

I love my 950c and would like to try all I can before I give it up. The On Light stays on and the orange light is blinking. The carriage stops on the color replace area (far left). The color cartridge has been out of ink for years, but only now has the orange light begun to come on blinking, at first intermittent and corrected with leaving off for while, then increasing, and now stays on. 1. I have tried many repeated cleaning of cartridge and printer areas for both the color and Black cartridges. 2. I have tried making sure the top lid, back (jam door), printer module, and power are securely in place. 3. I have tried leaving the power off for from a few minutes to over 10 hours and then reconnecting the power and printer module. Is there anything else I might try to correct the orange flashing light problem?

Based on your description, your HP 950c printer is flashing the orange light because there might be a problem with the ink cartridge installed. It might be out of ink or totally failed to function properly. The best solution for this is to change the ink cartridge with a brand new one. You can purchase a compatible ink cartridge for this device here:
