The cartriges are still full and it says replace them

Are they full, or "still have something" in them? These cartridges usually have ink/toner left when the replacement light goes on. You should be able to get a better idea about how much is left by using the HP JetAdmin tool to get a complete picture. If one cartridge is out the printer wont print. You should only need to replace the one cartridge for things to start working again.
