A Disk Read Error Occurred

'a disk read error occurred, press ctrl alt del to restart' message pop up when I want to reboot the PC. Is this hard disk crashed? Am I be able to recover my data or file?

Your bios may be the issue. Had the same problem on an HP nx9420. Updating my BIOS corrected the problem. It's a very easy fix. Check the support/download section of you computer maker's website for the latest version of BIOS for your computer. Download and follow the instructions from your vendor to update your computer's BIOS. Don't be afraid, it's a very simple process.
