Tv As A Monitor

I have a roku tcl tv that i want to use as a monitor but i cant get it to work. I have a vga to hdmi cable but when i go to the tv and select the hdmi port it is connected to it is not there. Tv is a 2019.

Connect the Roku to an HDMI cable. Plug that cable into an unused HDMI input on your monitor. Switch over to the HMDI input you used on your monitor. When the Roku Home page pops up, you should be able to navigate the page with your Roku remote.
