Hayward Dv5000 Not Works And Then Stops Few Feet Later

Set up cleaner ok. Checked all parts linked correctly. Pump set up to run at correct pressure. The cleaner works ok for several feet and then stops apparently without cause. Tried to run it firstly without weight, then with weight at 1 to 2 joint....2 to 3 joint....same response by pump - runs and then stops.The pool has been backwashed. Filter basket is clean. I've played around with the pump pressure but all to no avail.PLEASE....can someone help!
