Gas Dryer Will Not Heat

Everything else works, led lights, motor, door switch, but the heating element stopped heating. I checked the continuity, that is good.Does the element need to be removed from the dryer to check continuity? This dryer is new and has worked for 6 months. The element is not broken. The vent is not clogged.
