Nv76r Series Laptop Powers Up Slow And Keyboard Won't Work On The Sign In Page

My laptop would not start, I removed the battery, the power adapter, and held down the power button for 60 seconds. I then placed the power cord back in and the system powered on but took over an hour to load to the sign in page; it was stuck on the gateway logo page for a very long time. Once it finally got to the sign in page neither the keyboard nor the cursor would work. I'm not sure what the issue is and I desprately need help!

Hi. This may be a failed HDD (hard drive). Power is up without the HDD and observe to see how long it will take it to through up the "No bootable disk found - insert it and strike Enter" message. If that comes up fast enough, then try in a different HDD.
