Can't See Fish On My New Sonar

my garmen echo 300c work correctly but it didn't show men fish over than 12 metters otherwise in same place & same time  other sonar show me the fish in the salt water i tried garmen 160 and garmen 400 all of them show me the fish by the way my echo 300c i used it to the first time
