Frigidaire Gallery Dryer Makes Thumping Noise
The dryer sounds like it has a sneaker inside ... when the thing is empty! Model # GLGQ2152ES2. When I manually spin the drum I can "feel and hear" something associated with a bump or indentation. What do you think it might be? Is it a DIY task? (I'm fairly handy)

From what you have described it sounds like you either have a problem with the belt, front (and/or rear) bearing, or a loose connection with the motor or drum. Regrettably, this is not a simple DIY job. I would strongly recommend contacting a professional to accurately diagnose the issue, the part(s) may have to be replaced depending if they are worn, damaged or loose. You can often locate a qualified tech through the manufacturer website.
