Cylinder Filter

Does this model come with a filter?  I read the manual and it appears that it requires a "cylinder filter" but it doesn't seem that one is inside my dishwasher.  I called the parts dept. and they didn't know what I was talking about.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello J -- yes, according to your model number, your dishwasher does in fact have a "cylinder" filter. It is located below the lower rack of your dishwasher. It is built into the dishwasher and designed to collect some larger items like broken glass, pits or bones. It does need to be cleaned from time to time to maximize washing performance. To do so, first be sure your dishwasher is completely cooled. Remove the lower rack and rotate the cylinder filter (refer to your owner's manual on page 14 - if you need one, you can download a free manual here), lift it out and empty. Clean it by rinsing it under running water and replace cylinder and rack back into the dishwasher.  Hope this information proves helpful!

Best of luck!
