Reported Fires?
Have had several neighbors have there stoves catch on fire. All stoves model FPDS3085KF installed from 2012 on, all purchased from same store. My stove suddenly started smoking while cooking a pizza, no spilled food. Store and Frigidaire have not make good on all these stove failures. Can anything be done? Waiting for a service technician to inspect the stove.

Manufacturers tend to limit compensation for failures to those required under the respective warranties. I'm presuming your warranty does not apply in this situation. If you believe it does, or if you feel the manufacturer should have to help you anyway, you may have a tough row to hoe without legal help [which is unlikely considering the amount of your loss]. There are however a few things you can do on your own:
- Call customer service again, and politely but firmly ask for a manager (use the contact information here--https://www.contacthelp.com/frigidaire/customer-service)
- Complain to corporate: use the corporate contact information here--http://www.corporateofficeowl.com/frigidaire/Corporate%20Office--or, better, to the domestic parent company, Electrolux (use the corporate contact information here--http://www.corporateofficeowl.com/electrolux/Corporate%20Office)
- Complain to North Carolina's Office of the Attorney General, at 919-716-6000
- Consider a review/complaint site like https://www.gripeo.com/, or http://www.consumeraffairs.com/, each of which is designed to get action from the offending companies
