Why Has The Freezer In My Refridgerator Quit Working?

I have a Fridgidaire Gallery Series French Door Fridge - FG4H2272UF - Model # MDR-22 - Serial # 1K04077856Our fridge has been making these awful growling noises for many months, which is concerning considering it isn't even 3 years old yet, BUT then about 6 weeks ago, the freezer just stopped working. We have had a tech out here twice and they can't seem to be able to fix it. He said something to do with a cable connector of some sort in the back was too short or something. the cable looked black like it had gotten too hot. The tech ordered a new part that the cable connected to but the other wire was was too short to connect to it. They can't seem to fix it. PLEASE HELP!

I understand your concern that your Frigidaire Gallery Series French Door Fridge - FG4H2272UF - Model # MDR-22 - Serial # 1K04077856 is making growling noises and the freezer has stopped working. It is unusual for a refrigerator that is less than 3 years old to have these problems.

The fact that the technician has already come out twice and has not been able to fix the problem is concerning. It is possible that the technician has not been able to properly diagnose the problem, or that the parts they have ordered are not the correct ones.

I would recommend that you contact Frigidaire customer support and explain the situation. They may be able to send out a different technician who is more experienced with this model of refrigerator.
