Not Draining And Light Stuck On 'normal' Wash

Our last load didn't run properly, the soap dissolved funny andstill had a chunk of the packet in the soap area. It also didn't drain all the way. The light on the front is stuck on "normal" so I knowfit has power aka doesn't need a new mother board or anything, but the start button won't work. Im sure it's because it's full of water but when I tried taking the filter out it still won't drain, and no we didn't install a garbage disposal recently. Any help is greatlyappreciated. Just bought it not even a year ago but can't find the warranty. Go figure huh.

Hello tabithagarland - Try unplugging the dishwasher or flipping the household circuit breaker off first. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn the unit back on. Does the control reset to power failure during wash cycle, leaving water in sump? If yes, then the control or drain pump assembly would need replacing. However, if the dishwasher is making a grinding noise then it is recommended for the drain motor to be replaced. If this problem persists, you can locate a certified technician directly through the manufacturer website or in your local directory to determine what may be causing the issue at hand.
