Reset Anti-theft System

Put a new battery in my car and now it wont start. Called ford dealer and they said I have to turn off the antitheft, start the car, then reset the anti-theft system. There is supposed to be a button to the left of the steering column, under the dash, that I push and hold until it beeps. I don't see it. Help! I need my car!
