I Have An 89 Ford Taurus Cranks Over But Wont Start.
We have tested all the obvious (fuel, plugs, reset switch in trunk, coil, battery. It had dies while ideling in the past but would always start back up after putting it in park. Recently fixed a blown headgasket and cracked block,, everything seemed alright. someone had mentions something about a fuel injection inertia switch located behind a sensor by the tranny..any ideas

You said you replaced the coil. Have you turned the distributer cap and seen if advancing the timing a little lets it start? Im not really a ford person so i dont know about a fuel injection inertia switch but Im thinking it may have jumped time and if you had the head off you would have noticed a broken timing belt..
If you agree that the answer I provided is correct please remember to "accept" and/or mark it as "helpful" so I know I'm doing a good job. Thank you, I would really appreciate it.
