Why Does Vehicle Shut Off When Put In Gear?

When I start up, the vehicle will start, it does idle, and then when I put it in drive it shuts off.

Hi. If you have perfomed some maintenance shortly before the issue, then it may be wires not put put back accordingly. Recent spark plug change lately? If yes, then take it out again and check the gap.
