Noisy Blower Motor?

My 96 ford exploerer seems to have a noisy blower motor .  How do I take it out and repair or replace it?  What should it cost to replace if needed?  I don't want to take apart my whole dash, can it be done at home by me or some one without too much experience?

The blower motor should be in the engine compartment and on the passenger side firewall. Usually only held in place by a few bolts. It should just unplug from a wire connector. Easy to do, but you will have to reuse the fan wheel from the old motor. That should be held in place with a clip.

They only cost about $40.00, so they're not too expensive to replace.

Here's what your blower motor looks like. Your motor won't have" EXP" written on it, though! The photo is of a used blower motor taken out of a junkyard.
