How To Get Information About A Closed Account?

Someone used my son's Facebook account to post some negative comments about girls. How can we trace the unauthorize userer to clear my sons' name.

Hello Jedu4kids,

Sadly, many Facebook accounts fall victim to hackers. There is not much Facebook can do to trace these hackers as they constantly change their IP address. Thus, making this very difficult if not impossible.

Another reason is due to the laws regarding these types of issues. Which, even if Facebook found the hacker (which is rare, if at all) they would not be allowed to provide the hacker's personal information without a court ordered document, such as a subpeona.

Unfortunately, this was a learning experience for your son since he now knows the best way to minimize the possibility of a hacker getting into an online account is to set up a strong password, as I am sure you already know.

If a girl, or two, is upset, or their feelings hurt, over something a hacker posted on your son's Facebook, then his only option is to remain respectful to people to show others (especially the girls) he is not the type of person who would likely do this. Hopefully, they will accept him at his word.
