Motordale is mistaken. There's no way of reopening a deleted account. If the account had been deactivated but not deleted then you could indeed log in.

Most people just deactivate there account. It takes some extra work to actually delete your account and facebook will inform you that it's not possible to restore a deleted account. That's why I gave instructions for a deactivated account. Most common inquiry. : )
