I Can't Change The Print Settings On My Mac For My Epson Wf-2540 Printer
I'm trying to print a doc from Excel 2008 for Mac and it won't let me change the print settings on my printer. It says I'm using Utra Premium Photo Paper Glossy and I'm not. It also won't let me change the quality. It just says Quality, and won't let me choose something else. Please help.

I have a solution for you friend. I had the same problem, unable to change the seetings on the actual printer menu as well. If you have "Borderless" printing selected in the menu, photo paper is auto selected. So I changed that setting on the printer menu, and then was able to select plain paper. Hopefully that helps you.

Open excel and the document you are trying to print. Go to the top of you computer and the "file" drop down. From "file" select print.
It should open a dialog box with some print options. You should see the printer selected is the WF-2540. If not, change it so it is.
Look for "show details" and click on it. If you see "hide details" you are already on "show details".
There should be a drop down below the copies and pages boxes. It's labeled differently in each program. I'm not sure how it will show in excel.
In the drop down, find a selection labeled "print settings".
Select "print settings" and you should find a drop down labeled "media type" where you can change the paper setting. There is also a "Print Quality" drop down in the same location.
I don't have excel but the above method worked on every program I have.
