We Have A Electrolux Slide In Electric Range. The Model #ew30es65gsb.

We have removed all the racks and side racks in the oven. We try to set it to self clean, but, the remove racks light comes on and will not clean. Remind you, everything is out of the oven. I think the switch or sensor is bad. Any info and possible part # would be great.

Hi Lancasterfireman,

I understand that you are having trouble running the self-clean cycle on your Electrolux Range, model# EW30ES65GSB. What I would suggest would be a hard reset to the appliance. What you will want to do is to put the side racks and one other rack back inside the oven. From there you will want to cut the power to the unit at the circuit breaker for 3-5 minutes. Once the 3-5 minutes has passed cut the power back on. Now the first thing you will need to do is set the clock. You will do this by entering in the time and hitting the start button. Before taking out the racks, start the self-clean cycle. What you're doing here is tricking the unit into recognizing that the racks are definitely in place. Once it recognizes the racks are in, hit the cancel button and take the racks out. Run the self-clean cycle again. If it does not go into the self-clean cycle, I would suggest contacting a local authorized technician to come out and diagnose what exactly is causing the range to not go into the self-clean cycle.

-Best Regards-

There is a most likely plug of grease in the sensor area so it is reading that the racks havent been removed. It was removed and ours worked great.
