Ice Maker

The ice maker for my electrolux EI28BS56IS refrigerator broke. It was a scratch and dent model when I bought it 7 months ago. Will electrolux fix it?

If the unit is indeed a scratch and dent unit, you were most likely given a purchase receipt that stated "AS IS". I fyou were, then you did not have a warranty at all on the unit from the date of purchase. If you received this unit due to it being a discontinued model, or had a small scratch on it, then you would only have one year manufacturer's warranty on the unit when you purchased it.

However the age of the unit is the deal breaker. No manufacturer in the appliance industry will repair a unit that is 7 years old unless you purchased an extended warranty and have kept it current. You are looking at a repair that is completely out of pocket for you at this point.
