Hello janedigrandi – If the light continues to stay on after you have press the light pad four times to turn off the light, try resetting the microwave. You may unplug the unit or flip the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and then turn the unit back on. If issue persists, you may wish to contact a professional as the unit may possibly have control board, faulty light or a potential wiring failure.
