Dell Vostro 220s Shut Down Problem
I recently put my Vostro 220s motherboard into a new custom case. My problem is the computer will power up with the front panel switch, but the switch won't shut down the computer.

Hi. Do you mean the press-and-hold kind of shutdown? Well, do ensure you have correctly connected the from bezel power switch cable onto the Vostro board pins. The Service Manual here http://www.manualslib.com/manual/553549/Dell-Vostro-220s.html should be of great help and pointer.
