My Dell Vastro 1540 1speaker Is Not Working

I am from Dell Social Media and Community.
You can try to connect an external speaker and verify if the sound is fine on both speakers.
Follow the link below to run a basic hardware test on your system. Follow all the prompts (May take more than 1hr). Once the initial tests are done, you will get a page listed Custom test, symptom tree, ect. Select Custom Test and run a test on your speakers.

If the tests fail, try to disconnect and reconnect the speaker once and verify if it works. If it does not work or if the test fails, you will have to replace the speaker.
