What the error code 5 means is that the tape drive has a mechanical issue & most likely will need to be replaced. To confirm this you can do is to hold in the eject button for 30 seconds and try to rest the drive. If the error comes back then I would recommend that you remove the SAS connection to the drive & try it again to see if the error clears. If not then the drive truly has a mechanical issue & is going to need to be replaced.
