Number Lock Is On

The number lock is on and I do not know how to take it off to allow me to log in to my laptop.  Can you help please?

Depending on our laptop one of the function keys will turn off numlock.

On a Dell e6220 press Fn then press F2. It changes from laptop to laptop so look on your keyboard (it may be an orange box with a number in it).
