My Friend Says That The Hard Drive Has Issues.

how can we check if its bad or if there are other issue with my dell laptop?. any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Adamssmithjr, 

You may run the Pre-boot system assessment test to check the Hardware functionality. While holding down the FN key switch on the computer till you see the test running on the screen. 

You can refer the Dell Article 266787 on our Dell support website.
