Use a pen or a paper clip to push the "Reset" button on the back of the router. Keep the button held down for approximately five seconds.

Open a Web browser on a machine that is connected to the router. Type "192.168.0.1" into the address bar.

Type "admin" and leave the password blank. This is the default information for D-Link routers. When you hold the reset button down, it resets the administrator password to blank.

Click the "Tools" tab at the top of the D-Link administrative console. In this screen, you can reset the administrator password to a new one.

Enter the new password in the router's console section labeled "Administrator Settings." Enter it a second time in the Confirm Password text box and click the "Apply" button.
