Out Dated Audio Driver:

I have a compac laptop with vista home basic. I have plugged a head set into it, but I can't unmute the mic, it works but I can't unmute it. Can you help me with this? The audio suite is conexant high definition smartaudio 221 the only thing I can think of that is wrong with the driver is that it's corrupted. I should think that a driver update would fix the problem. I look forward to hearing from you John Reamer
