My Pixma Mx712 Is Displaying Error Code B200 And Will Not Print.

It seems to be stuck in a pause mode. When I attempt to take it out of pause, it just goes right back to pause.

Here is a workaround that has put trouble free life back into many supposedly 'broken' printers.

1. Turn OFF Power
2. Open the print head bay (as though you were about to change inks)
3. Turn ON power
4. Wait for print carriage to start moving to the left and let it go past half way
5. Before print carriage reaches left hand side (but after going halfway across) shut the cover.
6. Leave the Printer turned on
7. Good to go.

(Very occasionally you may have to do this twice in a row to get past the error)

In most instances, a B200 error will require a repair at a Canon authorised repair centre, however prior to sending your printer for repair please follow the steps below to try and resolve this error-

Turn off the printer
Disconnect the power cable
Open the printer cover
Check for any orange protective tape or white polystyrene and remove if necessary
Check that there are no foreign objects in the printer (such as a paper clip) and remove if necessary
Close the cover
Reconnect and turn on

If the error message is still showing, then it is necessary to deliver or send the printer to an authorised repair centre.
