Scan To Pdf On Mac Platform

On Windows, I use Adobe Acrobat Pro to use my Brother MFC 8890DW to scan to pdf; on Mac Mavericks, OS X 10.9, I can print from my Mac, but how do I scan to pdf using the Brother and my Mac?
