Bose Aw-1 Cassette Won't Play

just bought a clean Bose aw-1 cassette rewind and fast forward work fine. Cassette tries to play. But tape wheel won't turn. I took it alarm and the belts are instant and all wheels are turni. What am I not seeing here

Check its drive belts first. If needy replace them. Check the pintch rollar and play wheel cluch disc assembley. The fault is with the mechanism itself. Check it.OK.

Belts are prone to harden over time,the belt will be broken so replace it.. Also as you say the unit does turn off which is the problem of Take-up reel sensor ..Try to Take to any Service person and replace it,your player will be back in condition..
