Changing E-mail Providers

I'm attempting to change my internet service on my blackberry curve 8520 smartphone for recieving e-mails. When I go into email settings, under the title of existing users, it asks for my user name and password. I have no idea what either my user name or password is as I have not needed to access a setup for several years. Can you tell me how to reset the user name and password?
