Spinning Brush Works But Burning Smell While Using.

I have the Bissell Lift Off Cyclonic Pet Vac. Spinning brush works but terrible burning smell while using. Belt & brush look to be in working order.

Hi there. The burning smell may be caused by the belt if it's starting to break. You may want to remove the brush and belt to inspect them closely. You can also remove the brush and belt, turn the vacuum back on and see if the burning smell continues. Finally, you may also contact us for assistance too.

The brush assembly in these Bissell's has a ball assembly that seems to break after a few months. I've owned several of these Bissells. You can replace the belt, but I'm 90% sure you'll have the same problem unless you replace the brush assembly. Take off the casing and see if you can manually turn the brush. If not, that's your confirmation that this is the problem.

You'll need to buy another brush assembly for $16.
