Based off of what you have stated, you could have gotten dust and dirt in the motor which there is no fix for as this is due to neglecting to clean the filters regularly.  The other possibility is that the belt has broken.  To check this, unplug your unit and remove the brush plate to check the belt.  This simple video can help you change the belt:  http://www.bissell.com/how-to-videos/replace-brush-belt-vacuums/?cid=ccsocial

Make sure to use genuine BISSELL belts.  You can purchase the belt you need by going to www.bissell.com?cid=ccsocial and putting your 4 digit model number (found on a white sticker on the lower back of the unit) in the search bar.  This will bring up options for your model and if you look at the Parts & Supplies you can find the proper belt.
