Hi, according to the user manual, the filters should be placed so that the frame side is visible (facing out). If you need a copy of the user manual, you can download it below.

Hi there! The HEPA Media filter for your vacuum will only fit in one way. At the top of the filter is a rounded tap that should be facing towards the outside of the vacuum.
