How To Start It To Work? Manual Is Missing!

Hi I have been given this walki talki on my first day. and somewhow other frequency was intercepted. I could not switch it off, therefore I took the battery out and tryied to start again. now it is dead..and manual is missing and i have no one to help me. This is urgent as it is used for Emergeny calls. Please help
