No Dial Tone. Correctly Plugged In But Bt Say Not A Line Problem
Speakeasy Combo 3865. Base station and both remotes are all showing signs of life, correctly plugged into mains but none can obtain a dial tone. British telecoms say that they "have tested the line and it's not showing a fault on their side so it must be our base station". NOTE: everything worked yesterday (incoming call received) but it was a very crackly line (middle of a storm), I had to use my mobile to contact the caller. No evidence that the copper line is down anywhere near the house. NOTE: there was a power cut a few minutes after the incoming call (all over the area); the power cut only lasted a few minutes. Could this have caused a problem?
